I have a Lexmark Z43 and my pictures come out muddy and blurry. Like they have a brown filter over them, what gives?

dp-now.com:

The Lexmark Z43 should be capable of very convincing photo results. My experience of this printer is that it prints slightly lighter results than its rivals. The Z43 also has a complicated ink cartridge system that gives you a choice of three different cartridges for that particular printer and there are several others for different Lexmark models that, as far as I can see, might be able to be fitted in error to your Z43.

Ensure you’re using the correct ink cartridge combination

Please check that you are using either a black cartridge plus a three colour cartridge and that they are in the correct mounts on the carriage. Secondly, you may have chosen the photo cartridge option - unlike other printers offering such an option, you must remove the standard black cartridge and replace it with the photo cartridge. It's possible you may have substituted the three colour cartridge for the photo cartridge in error.

Finally, check that the printer driver settings correspond to the ink cartridges you have installed and checked.

If that doesn't cure the problem, please get back to me.
