I have put in a new cartridge, moved cartridge to another printer and still get a bluish-purple haze (my husband calls it magenta) to my pictures. I use a Hewlett Packard DeskJet 722c. I have cleaned the cartridge using their instructions. This happens to all photos I print. I have printed ones from my digital camera and ones from the internet.
dp-now.com: t's not easy to diagnose this problem without seeing a sample print, but as the problem is evident in two printers with the same cartridge and is not dependent on the source of the photo being printed, it seems like the fault lies in the cartridge. The simplest suggestion is that you return it to where you bought it and ask for a replacement.
Blue-ish purple could be magenta - though I'd say it was more a reddish blue myself! It's possible one of the primary colours in the tank is blocked (HP use built in print heads with their cartridges) so by replacing the cartridge your problem should be solved. [Back to top of the page] |
