My camera is full of pictures but I can not get it to download onto my PC. It always worked no problem, then  all of a sudden, I can not get it to work. I have tried all suggestions in the book. Do you have any? We have tried unloading the program and then reloading it, which was suggested, but nothing works. Please help, I have special pictures on there that I would like to see.

It is a Ixla Digital Dualcam 640. There is no external card to it, it is self contained. It connects with a USB cable. There is nothing else to describe it. The camera also has a way to hook it up to the tv but I can not save them if I do that. Thanks again for your help.

I’m not familiar with that camera, but I have identified the manufacturer and looked at the Web site. If it had a removable memory card, I would have advised you to invest in a separate memory card reader.

The manufacturer’s site says you need Windows 98 (assuming you’re using a PC) but doesn’t mention if Windows 2000 and XP are available yet. Are you running Windows 98? Windows 95 is not suitable for USB devices.

Reinstall the software and then the hardware

If you are, uninstall the software again, re-boot the computer and re-install the software while the camera is disconnected from the PC. Then after software installation – best re-boot once more and then connect your camera once more. Hopefully it will be recognised and the device drivers will initialise successfully.

Did you obtain the images from the camera using a host application via a TWAIN interface? You will need to re-select that TWAIN source before attempting to find the images.
